Summer Acting Workshops at Red Barn Theatre!

Carole MacCartee, director, actor and founding member of Red Barn Theatre will hold her 20th summer of acting workshops at the Barn. Actors and wanna-be actors are encouraged to come practice “the craft.” Acting techniques are from the New Actors Workshop, NYC-Paul Sills, George Morrison, and Mike Nichols. There are two workshops:

Scene Study Meets Mondays and Fridays at the Red Barn from 7pm-10pm. The workshop begins Monday, June 13th and ends with a final performance on Monday, July 25. The cost is $250 for the 6 weeks.

Monologue/Audition Meets Wednesdays from 7pm-10pm at the Red Barn. The workshop begins Wednesday, June 15th with a final performance on Monday, July 25th. The cost is $150 for the 6 weeks.

Work will focus on materials chosen by MacCartee in NYC  and includes three plays being produced in Key West this coming season: August: Osage County by Tracy Letts, Red (Pulitzer prize winner of 2010) by John Logan, God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza, Superior Doughnuts by Tracy Letts, plus many more.
