Conchs, Cowboys & Tales of Old Key West
The crowd-pleasing Made in Key West Band rocking through a collection of country, cowboy, folk rock and blues music including original compositions about legendary characters in Key West history. Back by popular demand, Conchs, Cowboys and Tales of Old Key West runs FIVE SHOWS ONLY!
In addition to Wells, the band members are Gary McDonald, George Halloran, Tom Murtha and music legend Paul Cotton, of the seminal seventies band Poco. Cotton performs his magical tribute to New Orleans “The Heart of the Night” as well as Poco’s cover of J.J. Cale’s “Cajun Moon.” Cotton met Wells and Murtha in a chance encounter at a Baltimore Civic Center concert where The John Wells Delegation, (Wells and Murtha) opened for Poco. They didn’t play together that night, but they are together again on the Red Barn Stage for the reprise of last year’s popular “Conchs, Cowboys and Tales of Old Key West.”
Special guests for the show will be Camille Russo Toler, doing a Stephen Foster duet with Wells, and Island Alex Ocinczyc, performing his “Southernmost Song” from his musical about Key West.
